Wind Waves
Imagine yourself
standing on the beach
hearing,
the crashing
and singing
of the ocean.
waves against the shore

The sun.
screaming red
against the blue sky

It freezes you right there,
standing
still.

listening to the repetition of
the undying song.

And there he is, right back where he used to be.

The breaking foam of salty water growing strong as you try to push through.

Gently
It crashes
It strikes
It breaks

As gently as the storm wave could do

You struggle
Still see his back
Your feet grounded
Just the same place
Where you began.
