You know sometimes you can get attached to some conversations with someone, like you can keep talking to that person forever if you have all the time in the world, but with someone you just feel so turned off and wish to be elsewhere, and you probably wonder why that is.
I have just come across this TED Talk about "10 ways to have a better conversation"* by Celeste Headlee, and I really like one of the sentences she said that went like this...
Enter every conversation with the assumption that you have something to learn. When you feel like you're going to learn something, you are more likely to pay more attention to what the person is saying. And normally people like when someone is actually listening to them. It is something I've never thought of before but I think it's a good idea to keep that in mind.
Everyone you will ever meet, knows something you don't.
Another great quote from Bill Nye. Not everyone is the same, people are different in many ways and you'll never know what new things you can learn from another person.
And that's it.
Haven't written anything for a while and thought it might be a good idea to share something interesting :)
